movin' on up...

kyrb got a job today! she starts on friday @ http://www.papayaclothing.com/
in other news i am trying to sell my bicycle on craigslist for some extra dough and practical purposes. it rains a lot here and i love her, (the bike) but she's a constant worry.

finding a place to live has been pretty exhausting. no one wants to rent to couples, go figure? waiting to here back from a pretty nice coffee shop http://www.tinyscoffee.com/
boy, i can't wait to suck down free coffee again. today we took a much needed break from the mind numbing lull of craigslist and watched a michael moore documentary called siCKO. i know what you are thinking, "he basically the liberal equivalent of bill o'reilly" and i usually agree. beyond the customary obstinate skew of the subject matter, i feel he was actually trying to make us remember that we have a pulse and that health care is indeed, an innate right of every human being. not to be preachy, but i really feel that the american people, as a whole, (not excluding myself) are constantly brainwashed by the idea that we are the biggest and the best and there is no way that our "God fearing" leaders could possibly swindle our right to breath. (in exchange for a cushy check from health care lobbyists). anyway there is no simple solution and i'm not trying to say that other countries have it solved as far as complete socialized health care goes, but its a start. it's a fact that people die in waiting rooms and that insurance companies don't support or approve! most preventative/pre-existing care, which to me is the biggest insult of all. they can literally level with cold blooded killers. i'm scared for my parents, i'm scared for my grandparents. another four years of the same and everyone will be dying in waiting rooms.

on a lighter note. here's some more eyecandy.

P.S. the free sticker on the crotch was hysterical because on Sunday Joe still had an XL sticker on his jacket and when he took it off I told him to put it on his jeans zipper too! Great minds think alike....

why don't they want to rent to couples? maybe i'm missing something..

on health care, i think you're right. my health care from verizon/teleperformance was crap. i only got a certain number of doctor's visits for preventative stuff and the price was pretty steep for extra stuff like xrays, blood work, etc.

here in japan, the general rule is that you just pay a third of whatever you need to do. so much better than back home. some things end up being a little pricey but a lot of the red tape and delays are just... not there for regular people. i used to have to wait weeks for them to sort out how much i actually owed. i just went to the hospital for my knee two weeks ago and they were just like "ok, $50. thanks! take care!"

congrats to kyrb on the jobber. tim, i hope you get the coffee job! that would be bangin... and good luck selling your bike. i don't blame you on that! do you have another one?

I am really excited to here that it is all working out for you guys. Tim, I am and will always (for as long as you let me) keep both eyes and hands on the p-funk. I am actually going to have it set-up in a few weeks and get the nut replaced on it. I'll still keep the bandanna though. Keep posting those pictures and letting everybody know how its going. - love from the heart...land, K.C.
